Arctic Circle Bracelet Inspiration: The Arctic Circle is often represented by a dotted-line circle around the top of a globe or a flat map. This line represents where the sun shines above the horizon 24 hours per day on the summer solstice and the sun does not rise above the horizon on the winter solstice. Our Arctic Circle Bracelet story is quite humorous. If you were not aware, you can drive up to the Arctic Circle. In fact, there are tour group services offering this as a service. Once, while on a tour, several visitors to Alaska were excited about being able to go shopping at the Arctic Circle Mall. Intrigued, I asked them where they got the idea they could go shopping. They were delighted to tell me their travel agent told them. To say they were disappointed is quite the understatement. They asked what was actually at the Arctic Circle - I told them; a sign and huge mosquitos. I still chuckle to this day when I think about this.
