The story behind Basic Black is really the dancing colors of the aurora. When in the Alaska Bush, the night is so dark, so deep. Bundling up with boots, coats, scarfs, gloves and hats at 2AM, with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee, sitting outside at negative 20 degrees just to catch a glimpse of the aurora. But before the aurora, the deep, dark, cold blackness - it was exhilarating!
